Anavar is an orally active anabolic and androgenic steroid. There is no injectable version of Oxandrolone – the active substance in brand Anavar. There are other brands than Anavar, but it remains by far the most popular one.

An Anavar cycle can be effective and remain safe for most people when used properly. Every cycle is different so before we share some examples, there are various things you should know.
Anavar Information
Oxandrolone is orally active AAS with a half-life of about 9 hours. Thus, the total daily dosage must be split. Those 2 “mini doses” are used evenly apart throughout the day. This maintains stable blood levels and offers maximum results.
Additionally, Anavar is liver toxic. Running cycle supporting supplements with it is highly recommended, especially those meant to protect the liver.
Anavar can be used alone or in combination with other compounds and steroids. Men are recommended to use it with at least a low dosage of Testosterone. For women it is the other way around – they are not recommended to stack it with other steroids to avoid virilizing (masculinization) side effects.

Some people suggest that grapefruit juice can increase the effects of a lot of medications. Anavar is one of them. That’s because of the fact that grapefruit juice is interfering with P-glycoprotein and organic anion transporting polypeptides (OATPs). That’s increasing the bioavailability of lots of different medications.
That’s why it is not recommended to use lots of drugs with grapefruit. But in this scenario, you can make the most out of the Anavar with a lower dosage.
Anavar Cycle and Dosage
Anavar cycle ranges between 4 and 8 weeks for men. Lower cycle lengths may not be enough to offer results while longer ones are dangerous. Especially in terms of testosterone suppression and liver damage.
For women, the maximum Anavar cycle length is a bit shorter – 6 weeks. They shouldn’t use it for longer because of possible virilization issues.
As mentioned, split the total daily dosage into AM (half dose) and pre workout (the other daily half dose).
- Anavar dosage for men is between 25 mg and 100 mg a day. The standard dosage is 40-60 mg a day. 50 mg daily is the sweet spot.
- Anavar dosage for women is between 5 mg and 20 mg a day. The standard dosage is 10-15 mg a day.
Anavar Cycle For Women
As mentioned, women are not very recommended to stack Oxandrolone with other steroids. Although some women still do it, it can be attempted only by professionals. However, many of them add Clenbuterol. That’s a stimulant to aid further fat loss. Clenbuterol is optional and not effective at growing muscles.

Anavar Cycle For Men
Pretty much as any other orals out there, it is highly recommended for men to stack them with at least one injectable. Anavar is not an exception. Remember that every cycle must be followed by a Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) plan. Also, don’t forget about liver protection and anti estrogens when and if needed.
Yet, some people go for orals only cycle with Anavar. A common orals-only is Anavar with Winstrol. You would get a very shredded physique, but it is much more liver toxic. With this cycle, you won’t need anti estrogens.
